The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. . .not necessarily in that order.

Let's start with the ugly. The "before" picture of Becca's piano bench. It's seen better days--bottom falling out, legs wobbly and ready to collapse, lid--let's just say--U-G-L-Y!! After perusing some of Landee's makeover websites, I decided this would be easy peasy. Eight small l-brackets and several additional wood pieces and TA-DA. Solid as a rock.
I present to you--the finished product. MUCH better thank you very much.

Next comes the bad. Not the bad child--the bad felt pen. Yes, felt pens can be bad. This is the face of a busted 2.9 year old. And I mean really busted.

Let's finish with the good. It's good to spend time with these rug rats. Their mom and dad had a much needed two day staycation (with baby in tow) and I played with the other 3 for two days. We lego-ed. . . .

We alphabetized foam letters. . . . . .

We made jewelry. . . . . . . . .

Good---so good.

Happy Hearts Day is for everyone.

Valentine's Day is one of those tricky holidays. Good for some--not good for some--but a day of showering those you love with hugs and kisses, etc. My sweet kids were very loving and kind to me and I really appreciate it.

On another topic--how many people and how long does it take to put up two simple window treatments? 2--hours--3 people-- (Me, Becca and Clara) Clara organized all the screws and molly bolts.

"Don't worry Gramma--you can do it". Really--that's what she said.

Last weekend I motored down to Long Beach to watch Natasha compete in a dance competition. She is AWESOME. This shy, usually quiet little girl shines on stage. Her beaming face and fancy dance moves "wowed" me. I'm so glad I was able to see her dance. And yup--she's won a few trophies.

Bella is one of her biggest fans.
