June has been a fun month for us.

Get your scrolling fingers ready. This is a long one but well worth your time.
Video #1: Jack and Charlie having fun in our driveway.

Owen's T-ball games are so much fun. He loves to hit, catch and especially run.

Just helping out the opposing team. Good sportsmanship.

We decided to adventure out on a road trip to Oregon in our recently acquired conversion van. It went really well even though the drive was long. Cris handled traveling fairly well and I did not fall asleep at the wheel so all was good. We drove up in two half days but came home all in one day. Hard to say which was the best way to go.
This is Seth in action at his soccer tournament.

THIS . . .is what the sky looks like in Oregon. Beautiful!!

Saturday evening the girls had their spring ballet recital. Rachel did a beautiful job.

Christine danced three numbers and debuted "en pointe". Very impressive.

I think Rachel loved the flowers almost as much as dancing.

Two sweet sisters.

After the recital we had fun at Cold Stone Ice Creamery.

Ricky LOVES to ride on Papa's chair complete with seat belt.

Video #2: Ricky on Papa's chair.

A friend of Kevin's built these two ramps so Cris could easily get up the steps to their front door. We REALLY appreciated it.

Relaxing on Sunday afternoon.

Beautiful Christine.

The Lukester.

Super Seth, as we like to call him. It was a great visit and we're so glad we made the trip.

This post is for you Memzy

So Shed and Memzy are out of town for a few days and the boys had a sleepover with Gramma and Papa last night. The college student "kid-sitter" takes over this afternoon.
Some how the topic of pirates inspired this creative idea from Jack.
We decided to see "Up" at the movie theater. It was sooooo good. The popcorn, cookies and bottled water contraband from home was also awesome.

One of my many "happy places".

"Gramma---can we see this movie next? Please, can we, can we? Mercy.

And yes, Gramma lets the blanket go to the movies also. It may need to be washed.

Someone ran out of gas at 3:30 this afternoon. Good luck miss college age kid-sitter. Gramma and Papa are going home now. Have fun.

Memorial Day--Thanks to all Veterans

When the cousins get together--look out--lots of fun.
Just one more reason every family needs an iPhone, or two. IPhone light saber Star Wars battle.

Bella likes to set up her night stand at Gramma's house. Everything is JUST right.

There's nothing better than art projects. A little paper, some scissors . . .awesome.

This is a game called Bubblegum. Yeah--I don't know what it's all about either, but they seemed to enjoy it. See video below.

Somebody has an addiction. If it gets much worse, an intervention may be necessary.

One regret--I forgot to put up our flag. So sad, cuz I love our flag. Gratitude to all Veterans for your service to our country.

The "After" pictures of our new floors

It's been a long 3 weeks but well worth it. Our new floors are beautiful--the baseboards fantastic, they feel great under your feet. . . . . . . .and the big news!!!!!!!!!!!. . . .no more asthma/allergies for me. I know--it's shocking and I hesitate putting it in writing lest I jinx it. Since the carpets were removed--my allergies are no more. Seriously. Let's hope it lasts.

Here's the office. That corner desk was not easy to move. Sherod Shederton helped me hoist it up on two dollies to be moved from one side of the room to the other. That puppy was not coming out of the room unless dismantled. Not gonna happen.

The hall. Smooth, lovely and beautiful baseboards. If you click on the picture and make it big you can see wedding photos.
Look!!! All one level--smooth transition from living room to family room--totally wheelchair accessible.

Memzy came and offered her decorating advice. It's good.

It's a project we won't be repeating in our lifetime but we're glad we did it. Thanks to our guy Earl for his expert workmanship.

Fun changes at our house.

It's time people--it's been time for several years. We're taking out all the carpet in the house and replacing with laminate wood flooring. It's a thing of beauty. These are the "during" pictures--the "finished" pictures will be sometime next week.

All floors stripped down to the concrete. I'm a clean person--I vacuum, have the carpets professionally cleaned twice a year--and yet there was still lots of dirt under the padding. Gross! I was prepared for this. People told me it was normal. Still gross.

We decided to raise the living room floor to match the rest of the house both for practical purposes and for style. I watch a lot of HGTV--I know what's in. . . plus I have Memzy and Becca.

Good bye sunken living room.

You can see the beautiful floors in the family room and living room. Great huh? Doing new floors is like moving. . . .in place. Not easy--very messy. Furniture has to be shuffled from room to room.

This is where Cris has been sleeping the last 4 nights. I call it his man-cave. I'm on a mattress on the floor in our bedroom. Once we had furniture piled up--there was no moving it.

A few more days and we'll be able to put everything back together. More pictures then. Never a dull moment at our house.
